Brace Yourself for the Following Orthodontic Information

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that every child should be seen by an orthodontist at the first signs of orthodontic problems OR no later than age 7. Through research, it has been shown that interceptive (early) orthodontics is so incredible helpful! What that means is that Orthodontists can intercept a problem before it happens and gets more complicated. That is why it is very important to see an Orthodontist early! An Orthodontist can detect subtle problems with jaw growth and teeth that are first starting to come into the mouth, even when baby teeth are still present.

  • While you might think that your child's teeth look normal, an orthodontist can pick up a problem, before it is obvious.
  • Your child's bite may be okay at this time, but if there are sublet signs present, the bite might have to be monitored. The reason is that if a problem is brewing, your child will be treated at the appropriate time, resulting in fewer problems in the future.
  • We can correct harmful oral habits that might result in a complicated Orthodontic case if not treated early.
  • Some cases are very crowded, and if not treated early with expansion appliances, there might not be enough room for all of their permanent teeth.
  • Improve your child's self esteem if they are unhappy with how their teeth appear.
  • Guide permanent teeth into better positions as they erupt, reducing the amount of time your child will be in braces are indicated.
  • Improve the way their lips meet, thus protecting their upper front permanent teeth.
  • Timely treatment may prevent serious problems from developing resulting in less time in braces and the cases are not as complicated and much more stable.

Oral health care is a very important part to the overall health of your child. If you would like an orthodontic consultation or have any additional questions please feel free to call our office to schedule and appointment with one of our orthodontists

Bayside Dental Has Moved To Great Neck!

To our Dear Patients, our Friends,

We are pleased and excited to announce that we have moved to our new location on October 5th, located only four miles from our current office. We would like you to know that the main reason for building this office is you, our valued patients. Patient care is the most important aspect of our practice and we feel a brand new, state of the art and expanded facility, is the best way to continue to serve you at the high level you have come to expect from us.

Bayside Dental Associates has been providing both family and cosmetic dentistry for over 35 years and we realize that commitment and loyalty is a two way street. Your loyalty has allowed us to grow into one of the most successful practices in New York and, we in turn, want to repay that loyalty by making an investment in the future for all of us.

We think you are going to enjoy being treated in this high-tech and efficient new facility. There will be two large reception areas, one for adults and one for children and also an arcade/game room located just off the children’s area. Flat screen TV’s with DVD’s will be available in all rooms along with monitors for reviewing treatment or looking at digital X-Rays. Late evening and Saturday appointments will be available as usual to accommodate any busy schedule. Parking will be plentiful and directly on site with the added benefit of being enclosed. A specially designed orthodontic treatment suite will be our latest addition and we have also included two large treatment rooms that will make sedation dentistry more comfortable and private. The office is located near all major highways and bus routes, right on Northern Blvd. in Great Neck, just east of Lakeville Rd. and is completely handicapped accessible.

You might be wondering how this is going to affect the cost of treatment and we understand that is a valid concern in these difficult economic times but our plan is to keep all of our fees at their current level. We will also continue to offer the same financing options as in the past that have worked out so well.

We invite you to stop by anytime, talk to our team members and let us give you a tour of your new office. We’re sure you will love it as much as we do! Thank you for the continued confidence you place in us as your family dentist. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Sincerely, Bayside & Mid-Island Dental Associates
