The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry released a list of ingredients that can assist in maintaining and improve your overall smile. Eating these foods can help prevent tooth decay, inflammation, as well as bone loss. Below we've included out favorites...

 Basil- reduces bacteria in the mouth

Carrots- consist of Vitamin A which helps the formation of tooth enamel

Cheese- helps prevent tooth decay

Lemon- a natural whitener

Onions- reduces certain bacteria that causes decay

Wasabi- includes compounds that arrest bacteria growth

Quinoa- this grain is loaded with including calcium that helps strengthen your teeth

Pineapple- is packed with Vitamin C and the enzyme Bromelain that promotes healing in the mouth
